Hi, my name is Orla Fitzgerald. I have been practising yoga for over 20 years and teaching since 2010. I offer classes, workshops, retreats, teacher trainings and individual therapeutic sessions that combine the wisdom of yoga practice and philosophy with the intelligence of eastern medicine and western science to:

  • Support you as you build and maintain vibrant health, energy and wellbeing;

  • Give you the tools to find a deep sense of peace, joy and harmony in everyday life;

  • Guide you to a deeper understanding of your own true nature;

  • Encourage you to cultivate love, joy and compassion for yourself and others; and

  • Help you sense and feel connected to all that is.

My classes are for everyone.

 

Acupuncture

I have been practising acupuncture since 2001. It is an integral part of Chinese Medicine, a comprehensive, holistic medical system used to diagnose and treat illness, prevent disease and improve wellbeing. It can be traced back thousands of years and is a primary healthcare modality throughout China and much of Asia. In more recent history, it has been used throughout much of the rest of the world and is fast becoming the preferred method of treatment for a number of key complaints.

 

Herbal Medicine

I have been practising herbal medicine since 2008. Herbal medicine plays an important role in eastern medicine. Based on your symptoms and signs, I put together a unique herbal prescription designed to treat the underlying cause. The herbs come from a wide variety of plants, and it is the balance and interaction of all the ingredients that make the herbal prescription effective.

You can take the herbs as a tea or in tablet form.

Diet and Lifestyle

 

A large part of Chinese medicine includes lifestyle and diet advice. How you spend your time and what you eat and drink significantly contribute to your overall health and wellbeing. Together we review a typical day in your life with the objective of uncovering what might be contributing to your ill health and finding ways to make simple but effective changes.
