10am—1pm

Join me for an in-person workshop in which we explore the deep wisdom of Chinese medicine and Taoist philosophy alongside our yoga practices. The idea of living in line with nature and the seasons is core to Chinese medicine and Taoism. It offers us the opportunity to foster great physical health, find mental clarity and ease, welcome emotional balance and connect to our own true nature.

Spring is considered to be a time for growth and expansion. It offers us the gifts of vision, clarity, planning, creativity and imagination—of seeing, both with our physical eyes and our mind’s eye, after the restful darkness of Winter. The organ and meridian systems we are asked to consider is the Liver and the Gall Bladder.

In this workshop we will:

  • Practice yoga, qigong, pranayama (breath work) and meditation in alignment with the qualities of Spring and explore the physical acupuncture meridians of the Liver and the Gall Bladder, including learning how to use acupressure on some key points.

  • Explore recommendations for remaining vibrantly healthy throughout the season.

  • Look at how certain foods and herbs, including wild foods, can help create vibrant health at this time of the year.

  • Discuss fasting, cleansing and detoxing from a Chinese medicine point of view.

  • Come away feeling vibrantly healthy and knowledge that you can use to continue to thrive over the coming months.
